Why High Efficiency

“The average house contributes more to outdoor air pollution than the average car” - US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

According to Energy Star—the average household spends more than $2,200 a year on energy bills with nearly half going toward the cost of heating.

By choosing high efficiency products with an Energy Star logo the reduction of pollutants is equal to saving 1400 gallons of gasoline over the product lifetime.

If everyone chose to install high efficiency heating and cooling equipment over the next 15 years…

…it would be equivalent to removing 10 MILLION cars from the road each year!

It’s simple. The more efficient the heating system the less energy is needed to heat your home—and the less you spend monthly on heating! Because let’s face it, we would all like to save some money.

According to Energy Star, heating water accounts for 15% of a home’s energy use. HTP High efficiency water heaters consume anywhere from 10-50% less energy than standard models. For example: an HTP Phoenix Light Duty has a 97% efficiency rating—that means that 97 cents of every dollar is used toward heating compared to a standard efficiency unit with 60% which only provides 60 cents worth of energy toward heating.

Tips to Maintain High Efficiency:

Tune up your equipment: regular maintenance by a qualified technician can help to ensure that your equipment is operating properly and can help prevent future problems.

Change your air filter: air filters should be changed when dirty, roughly every three months—more during the colder months when usage is heavier. A clean filter will prevent expensive maintenance costs if dust and dirty from getting into the system.

Programmable Thermostat: Program lower temperatures at night or during the hours when no one is home to help reduce heating bills. A pre-programmed thermostat can save about $180 every year in heating costs.

Insulation: No matter how efficient your home heating system is your system will have to work harder if it is not properly insulated. Good insulation can save up to 20 percent extra on your heating and cooling costs.
